Sweet

Monday – 8:30 pm

Today was an amazing day! The attitude of anger, bitterness, contempt and “the sneer” apparently successfully broke yesterday. My mind has not gone around and around in circles today trying to justify my own actions. Did I tell you my mind has been doing that lately? Well, it has. Today, I didn’t. I just didn’t. It was quiet in my head.

Oh, I had lots of thoughts. As you may have ascertained by now, I have a lot of thoughts. But they were good thoughts, creative thoughts. I don’t think I had a sneer all day. I probably did; I just cannot remember it.

Since I generally work from home on Mondays, I did something new today. At 5:00, I stopped and I read a book for work for an hour. Then I spent some time with Jesus. Then I made dinner and ate dinner. Then I started to work again. The downside is I had a really hard time quitting work when it was time for bed. But that time in the middle where I breaked to speak with Jesus makes even right now a little sweet.

Today was simply productive. Now I will let my mind rest and get ready for tomorrow and read just a little bit to put myself to sleep, but not for work. For fun. Or maybe I will watch something. hmmm

Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under his power, and that he had come from God and was returning to God; so he got up from the meal, took off his outer clothing, and wrapped a towel around his waist. After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him. – John 13:3-5
