Shaking my head

I do not even know what to say. I have just had an experience that has left me shaking my head for the last hour and a half. That is a long time to shake one’s head. It may be Friday night, but I didn’t go to my CR tonight, so no worries that the event that occurred happened there.

I visited another support group tonight. In the name of sharing my story to help those who are beginning this journey. If you go to a support group and think, “Something is not right here.” Believe yourself, and don’t go back! No matter what their name is or what they say. Stay safe, people, and share in safe environments. Now that is me trying to fix you and tell you what to do. Let me rephrase that. I am going to stay safe and share in safe environments and do my best to keep environments safe for everyone else. Wow!

I cannot even remember the rest of my day. I know something happened. I cannot remember what.

What Bible verse even goes with this day?

This morning I read the verse where Paul says that God gives us “all things to enjoy”. I considered what kind of man writes that God “richly provides” us with “all things to enjoy” and also writes that he has learned to be content in every situation whether well-fed or hungry. Then there is that whole schpeel about his being whipped five times and beaten with rods three times and shipwrecked three times and stoned and in danger. All things to enjoy? Paul! What kind of God did you serve?

Instruct those who are rich in the present age not to be arrogant or to set their hope on the uncertainty of wealth, but on God, who richly provides us with all things to enjoy. – I Timothy 6:17

I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. – Philippians 4:12

Five times I received from the Jews the forty lashes minus one. Three times I was beaten with rods, once I was pelted with stones, three times I was shipwrecked, I spent a night and a day in the open sea, I have been constantly on the move. I have been in danger from rivers, in danger from bandits, in danger from my fellow Jews, in danger from Gentiles; in danger in the city, in danger in the country, in danger at sea; and in danger from false believers. I have labored and toiled and have often gone without sleep; I have known hunger and thirst and have often gone without food; I have been cold and naked. Besides everything else, I face daily the pressure of my concern for all the churches. Who is weak, and I do not feel weak? Who is led into sin, and I do not inwardly burn? – 2 Corinthians 11:24-29
