Redemption: if You are…

God, if You are who You say You are, then You can bring beauty from this pile of ashes. Nothing about their inability to withstand the fire that created them prevents You from using them for Your glory. Nothing prevents You from making something beautiful from them.

God, if You are who You say You are, then nothing can separate me from Your love. If I flee to the ends of the earth, You will be there. If I descend to the depths of hell, You will be with me there. There is no power which can pull me from You. There is no entity that can destroy my relationship with You.

God, if You are who You say You are, then my name is engraved in the palms of Your hand. You protect me as one protects the apple of their eye. I am precious to You. You think many good thoughts about me. One might say You daydream about the goodness in my future.

God, if You are who You say You are, then my failure doesn’t scare You. The pile of brokenness that is my life doesn’t make You want to give up. I am an opportunity for You to receive glory. May she who is forgiven much, love much. May she who recognizes her utter brokenness and has experienced so much pain, love You much. May she bring You much glory!

God, if You are who You say You are, then You are sovereign. You are in control. Your will is greater than the will of any man. Your plan overrides the plan of any man. Your thoughts are more important and wiser than the thoughts of any other being. No one, no king, no ruler, no boss, no heathen, no blasphemer, no follower of Jesus can override Your plan. Their very breath is in Your hands. You need only say the word for them to leave this world. You stand in magnificent judgment over the earth. Your word is their command. One day every knee will bow before You. One day all will know that You are God.

God, if You are who You say You are, then no one can keep me from following You. I have been called to be crucified. No one can take this opportunity from me. No one can rob me of Your plan for my life. No can successfully triumph over me.

God, if You are who You say You are, then I am more than a conqueror. I am pure and holy and righteous because You died for me. You washed me. You bought me. You own me. I am a daughter of God, a sister of Christ and a princess in the Kingdom of heaven.

God, if You are who You say You are, then You are good. Never once have You forgotten me. Never once have You rejoiced as I experienced pain. Never once did You laugh as I experienced the pain inflicted upon me by sin. Never once have You ever rejoiced at evil. Never once have You been tempted by it. Never once have You not given me the strength to overcome my temptation to do it.

God, if You are who You say You are, then You want me to come boldly before Your throne to ask You confidently for what is mine because of the relationship that I have with Your Son Jesus, the anointed One. You have asked me to come before You in His name. You have appointed me His ambassador on earth to the world. Christ in me. You have invited me to be His ambassador before Your throne.

God, if You are who You say You are, then You are more than I could ever imagine. You are waiting to pour out blessings on me that are greater than I could ever imagine. You are waiting to heal me in areas that I don’t even yet know I have to be healed.

God, if You are who You say You are, then I can know the greatness of Your love that is beyond human knowledge. I can experience it. I can live in it. I can be forever changed by it.

God, if You are who You say You are, then You are a good Father. Every time You ask me to die Your promise will prove faithful and I will no longer live but Christ will live in me. Today as I die I will live through You. Everything I give You is Yours. All I have is Yours. You are my good Father. My everything. You are my God. Therefore I will respond to only You.

God, if You are who You say You are, then You are worthy of all my worship. You are worthy of receiving all my attention. You are worthy of being endlessly complimented and praised by me. You deserve all my admiration. Nothing exists to be admired except that which You have made.

God, if You are who You say You are, then I am Your handiwork. When You created me, You declared Your work good. So also You have prepared good works for me to do. They are waiting to be done. No one can prevent me from doing them because You have prepared them specifically for me to do.

God, if You are who You say You are, then Your relationship with me is unique and unrivaled. I compete with no one to experience the completeness of Your love and attention. You, my precious Lover, will do anything for me. Your goodness will never harm me. You are my almighty Protector. You are my great Romance. Nothing and no one will ever tear us apart. I am Your creation, created to respond in goodness only to You. You are the Mediator of every holy relationship I have. You are my God. Therefore I will serve You.

God, if You are who You say You are, then deliver me from myself. Step into my day. Change it. Have full access to my heart. Heal it. Come into my mind. Break down every idol. Cast out every evil thought.

Keep me safe, my God, for in You I take refuge.

If God is who He says He is, how does that define you?
