Promise Keeper

To bed, to bed, sleepy head, sleepy head. Notice how kids books stick in my head forever. It has been a pretty incredible week. I am a little tired, but I am filled with joy and hope. God is really incredible. Promise Maker, Promise Keeper. Yet pursuing Him is where there is value. There is no value in pursuing the promise. That seems fruitless too. I am ravenous tonight and feel like watching something. I shouldn’t. Tomorrow is my big study day. Saturdays are my hardest days of the week right now. Followed by Sundays which are in theory my day of rest.

It has been ever present on my heart that God is my strong defender. There are so many beautiful verses in the gospels that I am reminded of not often enough. I love the parable of the unjust judge and how Jesus promises that God is working to quickly bring about justice for me. I love so many things about that book.

Gracious God, thank you so much for all you have given me. My heart sings.

Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. – The Gospel according to John
