Peaceful

I have had the most peaceful day ever. It was undoubtedly because I only minused two minutes from my doubled God time. I am a fan. Definitely a fan. I think that is the only thing worthy of note that happened today. I spent amazing time with God. Well, actually the time was filled with quite normal activity. There was just an amazing amount of time.

Then I lived today really peacefully and connected well with people. A wise woman told me recently if I just spent more time with God, people and situations wouldn’t rile me up so much. Since I started following her advice over the last few days, I would say she is right.

I have been wading through my amends list. I didn’t want you to think I quit working on it or something. I have it all categorized by CR suggestions. The ones that are easy to do, the ones I should not contact because it may harm them, others or myself (in cases of abuse), the ones I do not need to contact (abuse situations), and the ones that are harder and I can keep working at over the course of the next several months. The problem is I am quite far into my easy list, so this is about to get much harder. Well, that, and if I keep working through Life’s Healing Choices, my list is bound to grow by quite a bit.

Really continually working through the steps is just working step 10, which is basically continuing to work the steps the rest of your life.

So if you are presenting a sacrifice at the altar in the Temple and you suddenly remember that someone has something against you, leave your sacrifice there at the altar. Go and be reconciled to that person. Then come and offer your sacrifice to God. When you are on the way to court with your adversary, settle your differences quickly. Otherwise, your accuser may hand you over to the judge, who will hand you over to an officer, and you will be thrown into prison. And if that happens, you surely won’t be free again until you have paid the last penny. – Matthew 5:23-26
