Looking up

I hope God works in mysterious ways His wonders to perform and plants His footsteps in the sea and rides upon the storm. Because if He doesn’t, I am screwed. Today was the best day I have had in the last few weeks. There are still plot complications, but today my greatest pain began to seem tolerable. The last few weeks my greatest pain hasn’t been tolerable. Somehow I endured it anyway. Today I wondered why I lost that stubborn tenacity to cling to distant hope that I had as a child. Is it simply age? Too many years of struggle and disappointment?

He called a little child to Him and placed the child among them, and He said, “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 18
