He is at my right hand

Today I praised Him with tears running down my cheeks, and I did not know whether they were tears of pain or joy. I just knew He was worthy of praise. I sang that song that has the phrase “You alone are worthy” in it, and I finally closed with “I”m so glad I trusted Jesus.” I am so glad I have trusted Jesus. I am so glad I have trusted Jesus. I think I am finally becoming a servant. It has taken so long, and the journey produced a lot of tears, but I am learning what it means to have died. I am so grateful that old awful me is dying. I am so glad God gave me a new heart. One that loves. Today as I cried I realized I am sober. I am sober. I am so glad, and it feels so good to pursue Him even when there are tears running down my cheeks. I am sober. Praise the Lord! I am sober.

I keep my eyes always on the LORD with Him at my right hand I will not be shaken. – Psalm 16:8
