Decades older

It was a rainy day. It was a groggy day. I started the day off with unhealthy food, so I felt crappy today. But it was my birthday party tonight, and that was a lot of fun. Absolutely phenomenal! Because what I learned is I may be turning another decade older, but with friends like these I do not have to worry about it. It is bound to be a good year. Whatever goes wrong, I have friends who love me.

Oh, it was amazing. Absolutely phenomenal! Sorry, I already said that. Being 30 is going to be awesome. Really awesome because I have some amazing friends.

I have decided to commit to eating healthier. I have an issue of losing too much weight because I walk a lot and eating is not a strong point, so I often make decisions based on easy ways to get calories. I learned today that apparently the average person walks off an apple in 9 minutes. That means I have to eat 13 apples a day on average to fuel my walking. Let’s face it, clearly I need to eat something with more calories than an apple; but I might feel better if my diet was not half ice cream.

I also watched TV today instead of resting. Ugh, but what a waste. I like to watch a show a week. Put three in a day and my brain just freezes over. I am down to food and health shows, but they still freeze my brain.

Anyway, what a great way to kick off the next decade of my life. With friends like these and Jesus in me and beside me, I will make it!

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. – I Corinthians 13:4-8
