Closer to rested

I am getting to the slightly boring part of resting. I still need rest really badly, but I am starting to get bored. I am having lots of fun in Matthew during my quiet time though. Extra time with God is not boring. I think the holiday is what I find most boring. Next week, I have eight consecutive days during which I have zero reasons to leave my apartment. Actually if I extend that into the next week, there are nine. I am sure that will be lovely. I may go a little stir crazy. Definitely going to try and pick up a babysitting job for New Years Eve I think. It seems the commonsense thing to do.

I still have my cold. sigh.

As Jesus went on from there, two blind men followed him, calling out, “Have mercy on us, Son of David.” When Jesus had gone inside, the blind men came to him, and he asked them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” “Yes, Lord,” they replied. Then he touched their eyes, and said, “According to your faith let it be done to you.” and their sight was restored. Jesus warned them sternly, “See that no one knows about this.” But they went out and spread the news about him all over that region. Matthew 9

I happen to think that story is pretty funny. For several reasons… I can’t help but think that Matthew was trying to be a little bit funny.
