All to Jesus I surrender

“The one who serves Me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be.”

Things Jesus says that strike me as odd. Odd because it seems more natural to me if He had said, “The one who follows me must serve Me.” Today I followed Him because the one who serves Him must follow Him.

I really honestly “can’t wait” for the day when brokenness will be no more. I’ve started to day dream about it. I really hope that I don’t live in a broken condition for another 60 years. Not even for another 50. How odd we humans are to term something a “tragedy” when one of our siblings finally makes it to the other side where perfection is perfectly perfect.

When the Son of Man comes in His glory and all His angels with Him, He will sit on His glorious throne. Matthew 25

There have been ups and downs in my day as there naturally would be, but today I think I have had moments of experiencing God and life like I have never experienced it before. In fact I know I have. If you ever wonder if all those amazing promises are true, they are. All of them; but I am convinced that in order to experience them, we must forsake all others and pursue only Him. There is no other Way.

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete not lacking anything. James 1
