A penny kind of day

Today was a mixture of joy and sadness. I don’t know that I really want to describe it here. It was a “I need a penny” kind of day. God gave me a penny. A bright, new shiny one. I am getting quite a few of them on my bookcase. I don’t use the pennies that God gives me in the streets. I save them. I keep them in a pile to remember that He will always be faithful. I have a really old plastic bag full of pennies next to the new pile of new and old pennies. I wouldn’t swear to it, but I think it is the bag of pennies that I found before I hit rock bottom in 2011. I found it somewhere in my stuff one day a while back. Faithful. He will always be faithful. Wherever He leads, I will go.

Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God. Psalm 20:7
